This Privacy Policy explains how Quevo ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information from business owners ("Subscribers") and their customers ("End Users") who use our self check-in and queue management platform (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

From Subscribers (Business Owners):

  • Full name and email address
  • Business name, type, and address
  • Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card numbers)
  • Provider/staff information (names, roles, phone numbers)
  • Device identifiers for connected iPads

From End Users (Customers):

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Check-in history and provider preferences

Automatically Collected:

  • Device type and operating system
  • IP address and approximate location
  • Browser type (for web dashboard)
  • Usage data such as pages visited, features used, and timestamps
2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Service, including queue management and check-in processing
  • Send transactional SMS messages about queue status (e.g., "It's your turn")
  • Send email communications including account verification and onboarding guidance
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Generate analytics and reports for Subscribers about their business activity
  • Improve the Service, fix bugs, and develop new features
  • Send promotional communications (with consent, and with the ability to opt out)
  • Comply with legal obligations
3. SMS Communications

When an End User checks in through the Kiosk app, they consent to receive transactional SMS messages related to their queue status. Subscribers may also enable marketing messages, subject to applicable consent requirements.

  • Message frequency varies based on check-in activity
  • Message and data rates may apply
  • Reply STOP to opt out of promotional messages at any time
  • Reply HELP for assistance
  • Transactional messages related to an active check-in session cannot be opted out of
4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data:

  • Supabase — Database hosting and authentication
  • Stripe — Payment processing and subscription billing
  • Telnyx — SMS message delivery
  • Resend — Transactional and marketing email delivery
  • Vercel — Website hosting and analytics

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We may share personal information in the following circumstances:

  • With Subscribers: End User check-in data (name, contact info, visit history) is shared with the Subscriber whose business the End User checked into. Subscribers act as data controllers for their customers' information.
  • Service Providers: With third-party vendors listed above who assist in operating the Service, subject to confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Quevo, our users, or the public.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
6. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes described in this policy:

  • Subscriber data: Retained for the duration of the account plus 30 days after deletion, to allow for account recovery.
  • End User data: Retained for as long as the Subscriber's account is active. End Users may request deletion at any time.
  • Check-in records: Retained for up to 24 months for analytics purposes, then automatically anonymized.
  • Payment records: Retained as required by tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years).
7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
  • Row-level security policies to isolate tenant data
  • Secure authentication with hashed passwords
  • Regular security reviews of our infrastructure

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Cookies and Tracking

Our web dashboard uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may also use analytics tools to understand how the Service is used and to improve it. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information. Subscribers can delete their account from the dashboard. End Users can email us to request deletion.
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format.
  • Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in each email, or reply STOP to opt out of promotional SMS.

11. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 12. International Users

The Service is hosted and operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify Subscribers of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised.
